Emmy Engle Wins WORCS in Blythe, CA!
For the Fourth Straight Race…
It’s been a great year so far for Emmy Engle. She is focusing on only one class this race season and she is determined to bring home a championship.
As the green flag dropped in Blythe, CA Emmy took the hole shot and the lead. As she came through timing, she had a nice gap over 2nd place but then she came into the next corner too hot and rolled her car. This was the first time Emmy has ever rolled her car. She stayed calm and eventually the WORCS crew got her back on all four wheels.
After rolling her car, Emmy was in last place and about two minutes behind and knew she had ground to make up to take that win. Emmy’s sister told her over the radio: “You can still win!” That lit a fire in Emmy as she drove hard lap after lap catching the cars in front of her and with three laps left to go, she made the pass for the lead! Emmy drove clean keeping the lead and taking the win at Round 4 making it her fourth win this season.
