After Postponement in 2020, the Fan Favorite Race Returns This Year.
After restrictions and limitations postponed last year’s event, the yearly race is back on for 2021. The dates for this year’s race have been confirmed for August 6th–7th, and fans and participants are already making preparations for the big event.
This year’s race will be hosted in Fort Dodge, IA at Sports Park Raceway. GBC Tires will continue its support of both ATV and UTV athletes by hosting a series of races containing multiple classes and age groups for all racers to participate in. Families are also encouraged to come out and experience all the action.
In keeping up with the tradition of the annual challenge, GBC is bringing back its infamous Challenge section and Ironman Race, as well as other special classes and events for spectators to enjoy and participate in.
“We’re very excited to bring the Heartland Challenge race to Fort Dodge this year,” said Andy Kyner, Heartland Promoter. “The support we have received from the city and its residents has been overwhelming. For this year’s race, we’ll have full access at the half-mile oval dirt track, a newly designed Challenge section, and acres of wooded areas to explore. The bleachers are now centrally located near the concession stand so fans are closer to key areas in the event. This new venue provides a welcoming experience for all fans and participants. We are grateful for the city, its residents, GBC Tires, and everyone who has pulled together to make this event possible.”
The 2021 race marks the 13th year GBC has hosted the Heartland Challenge.
“We look forward to seeing the familiar faces of those who have participated in previous years’ events, as well as new supporters looking to experience ATV and UTV racing for the first time,” said GBC through a press release. “As in previous years, the event will be filled with top tier competition and feature some of the biggest and brightest names in the sport of racing today. The success of the Heartland Challenge has always been credited to the fans and racers who have supported us year after year. With only a few months left until the race, make sure to lock the dates in your calendar and clear your schedule for what will be one of the biggest off-road races in the country, the GBC Heartland Challenge. See you on Race Day.”
