Shreveport, Louisiana – Scott Smith, owner of High Lifter Products announced July 9, 2018 that it has acquired SXS Gear, a US company, owned by Michigan native, Chris Keeter. The companies worked closely together in 2012 on the design and engineering to introduce gear lift systems to the powersports industry. Chris with SXS Gear, has been instrumental in the development of portal gears and has continued to run the business through 2018 offering kits that provide gear reduction along with massive ground clearance to many ATV and UTV fans.
“This patented gear lift system has grown to be an aftermarket accessory in high demand that riders want added to their units. High Lifter is excited to have this product line back in our offering to those who want more performance. New products are driven by our customer’s feedback and this has been a hot topic. The timing of this buyout is perfect for industry enthusiast. These Portal Gear Lift products will greatly complement our superior line of lift kits, suspension products, tires, axles and more. Customers will see kits shipped out by end of July and will continue to see improvements and new innovations from the engineers at High Lifter in the gear lift market,” said Smith.
