Legacy Racing Association is excited to continue their efforts at providing amazing events. The staff has been exploring new locations and old racecourses that haven’t been used for decades. Fifteen years of laying out racecourses with the best teacher, helps to make for the most epic events. The 2022 Vision Wheel Baja Nevada proved to be just that. With new ideas, 2023 will turn out to be even more exciting.
“We are surrounded by the best, Our Partners, Staff, Participants and Volunteers. Without each of you our dreams would not be impossible. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

The first Legacy event of the year will be the Desert Showdown January 25-29th. The season is starting out a little later in January, knowing that prepping for an event through the holidays can be extra stressful. The Desert Showdown event will be held again in Pahrump, Nevada with the Pahrump Nugget as the returning host hotel. After two years of being asked, Legacy has decided to invite the motorcycles and quads to the 2023 event. This event will have a pre-run on Thursday, just like previous years, to continue to sharing the full race experience with racer families and teams.
New for this season, Legacy will be headed to Caliente. The Caliente field office only allows two four-wheel permitted events per year. There is a lottery for those two spots and they were excited to draw one of the permits for 2023. There is limitless opportunity for different trails in the area, and it will be like no other event in the area. Pre-Event festivities will start in Las Vegas. The start line will be north of Las Vegas with the finish taking place right there in the town of Caliente. This 325 mile course will cover new terrain. The VT Construction Battleground will be March 23- 26th for all classes.
The 2023 Vision Wheel Baja Nevada will continue to be the talk of the industry, taking on new challenges as they push to make it the premier event. This being the biggest event for the Legacy schedule, the 650-mile course will be a 2-day race format with an overnight stop half way through the race. It will challenge both racer and machine to push the limits and take home the bragging rights of finishing this epic event. Moving this event back to May, Legacy is excited to see how it evolves. Make sure to save these dates May 10-14th.
There is excitement about our UTV Freedom Ride. Legacy is permanently adding the UTV Freedom Ride onto their schedule. With so many destinations to explore, the possibilities are endless. This multi-day ride doesn’t have a destination yet, but this event will create memories that will last a lifetime. Make sure to mark your calendars for June 23-25th. Bring the entire crew and enjoy getting dirty in a UTV.
The Dirt Rebelution has made its way back onto the schedule. The racers loved this challenging course in southern Utah. This technical and fast paced event is a great mixture to show the talent of each racer and the ability of their machines, perfect for motorcycles, quads and UTVs. Moving to September 8-10th will be ideal, as the weather in southern Utah will be incredible. This event will continue to grow as participants fall in love with the spectacular course.
Legacy showed incredible excitement adding the Gold Rush to the 2023 schedule. The entire staff were just as bummed as each of the participants when they had to postpone this event. VORRA has agreed to partner with Legacy for this amazing course that will start in Virginia City and end in Tonopah. As anticipated, this event will be like none other. Bringing the event to Virginia City in October will make for great ghost hunting and ghoulish stories. This 350-mile course is sure to be a hidden treasure while teams challenge themselves for the gold.
Every knows that Legacy loves to shake things up and this one will be no different. The final event of the season will take them back to Primm for the Stateline Shootout, but this year it will take on its own new twist. They are taking on three different styles of racing in one event. They are bringing desert racing, short course, and short track racing all in the same weekend. This event will challenge every participant. Join everyone November 30 – December 3rd for what is to be a fun filled weekend with your families and teams. They plan on finishing off the 2023 season with a bang!
