Magellan Adds Over 1,000 Trails to TR/TRX GPS Navigators
Magellan’s all-terrain GPS products come pre-loaded with largest ever navigable U.S. trail database
San Dimas, CA – March 18, 2019 – Magellan®, the industry leader for innovative GPS navigation devices since 1986, announced today the addition of more than 1,000 Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) segments to its TR/TRX GPS navigators, bringing the total count of US trails pre-loaded in the devices to over 170,000.
TRX and TR series owners can update their device by logging onto Wi-Fi and selecting “Map Update” inside TRX Settings. With these free updates, device owners will always have access to the latest features and trails long after the initial purchase.
“Our recent additions include some of the most popular off-roading areas in the U.S. including: Johnson Valley, Hungry Valley, Buckskin Loop, Sand Hollow and many more,” said Richard Tinnel, Product Director.
Magellan TRX and TR series navigators enable users to explore OHV trails and city streets with turn-by-turn navigation. Trail enthusiasts can get off-track notifications, easily backtrack and share their adventure on social media, all with one touch.

TRX navigators include RAM® mounts, are waterproof and shock-resistant, offer an intuitive user interface and come pre-loaded with a high resolution U.S. and Canada base map, including over six million points of interest. The devices are ready to go right out of the box, and include free map and software updates. The maps can be accessed via a Wi-Fi connection and do not require a computer.
