Unless you’ve been hiding for the past couple of months, you will all know that SSV Works, an original stereo innovator in the UTV industry, has formed a corporate partnership with Kicker Audio. This partnership promises to deliver premium audio components directly to the UTV market by combining SSV’s vast knowledge of audio equipment enclosures and complete audio systems with Kicker’s premium sound quality, market penetration, and marketing capability.

Moab has some steep climbs, and the Hell’s Revenge trail has plenty of nail biters. Here, both cars make the steep climbs look easy with nary a tire slip.
In recent months, SSV Works and Kicker have built two very capable Polaris RZR XP4 Turbo’s. Both vehicles are built with top-notch components, along with, you guessed it, premium sound systems in both cars! To say that these UTV’s “bump” is a massive understatement. Everyone has their own way of rolling down the trail – some like the loud music thumping from their cars and some like to listen to the rocks hitting the fender wells. For us, we like a little of both, and the thumping of the music making our hearts beat faster on our drive makes our rides much more thrilling.
Just want until you see what’s hidden behind the front seats in the SSV car…
SSV Works “Equalizer”
SSV Works has been building top-notch audio accessories for the UTV market since 2007. To commemorate their 10-year anniversary with an

unapologetic exclamation point, the crew at SSV set out to build a one-of-a-kind RZR that included one of the most insane stereo’s to ever be found in a Polaris RZR. Would you expect anything less?

Inside the SSV car, we find their Bluetooth media controller that has it’s own designated mount in the dash. In addition to the media controller, the mount also doubles as a switch plate to control your accessories.
Since their inception, SSV Works has been widely regarded as a top-tier company in the UTV industry. To this day, they are still building out their lineup with more great products, which includes custom molded speaker cases for almost all of the vehicles in the UTV industry, full audio systems, and individual audio parts for many vehicles.
For this particular build, SSV put together a complete package of audio equipment, including their MRB3 Bluetooth media receiver, four amplifiers, six speakers, and 3 subwoofers. The end result is an audio system that bumps out some amazing sound. And, the best part

about all of this, is that the audio is crisp, clear, and makes you actually want to turn it up. Call us old-school, but we like crisp and clear sound coming out of our stereo systems, not just the big bumps from a massive amount of subwoofers. After all, that’s why I have kept my massive 1970’s speakers that were handed down to me from my parents – you just can’t replace that crisp sound.

How could you not love this overview! It’s awe inspiring, especially when you have some good tunes playing to soak in the scene.
For those of you who are into throwing a massive bass for your buddies, you will appreciate the fact that SSV ditched the 2 rear seats in favor for 2 massive 15” Kicker L7 subwoofers in a custom designed box setup. These woofers feature a single-channel, 2400-watt amplifier driving them. If that weren’t enough, there is another 10” Kicker subwoofer underneath the dash, and this one is powered by its own 500-watt amplifier. This under-dash system is one of SSV’s staples because the entire kit is available as a vehicle-specific stereo system. The rear subwoofer setup? Well, that’s more of a one-off deal…
In addition to the audio equipment, SSV Works enlisted some of the top aftermarket parts

Think a full gamut of on-board stereo equipment slows this car down? Think again… It is a monster in the rocks!
manufacturers in the industry to help out on this build. The list includes: SDR Motorsports (cage, doors, fabrication, etc…), Proline Wraps (vehicle graphics), PRP Seats(seats and harnesses), Assault Industries (accessories, including mirrors), Heretic Studio (lighting), MSA Wheels, EFX Tires, Reikken batteries, HMF exhaust, and Whip Tech LED whips.
We know what you’re thinking… a car like the Equalizer is great and all, but does it actually perform well out on the trails?! The simple answer is “yes”, absolutely. The reason for that is the suspension and drivetrain on this car is mostly stock. So, the SSV crew was able to show us how this car effortlessly crawls up the steep climbs in Moab, all while cranking the tunes to their favorite rock and roll hits.
If you find yourself at an event or out on the trails next to the Equalizer, make sure you holler at them to “Make Some Noise”! The crew at SSV won’t mind, and we think you’ll be impressed, especially when this car is making its own ripples in the dirt, while sitting still.
Kicker Pro-Armor-built RZR

Just like the SSV car, the Kicker’s stock Turbo engine makes powerslides effortless. With 4 seats in this car, all passengers can really enjoy the fun!
Kicker has a long-standing reputation in the automotive industry of manufacturing top notch speakers, amps, subwoofers, and other stereo equipment. Upon their announcement of the joint partnership with SSV Works, Kicker needed to have one of their own UTV’s to take around to shows for promotion and demos, hence the reason that this Polaris RZR XP4 Turbo was born. Like the Equalizer, this car has a host of stereo parts that make it stand out from the crowd. In addition to the stereo equipment, several companies stepped up to help Kicker with the parts necessary to make this car unique.
From the outside, you will immediately notice the host of Pro Armor parts on this car. Kicker
ordered up a full Pro-Bilt kit, which included their cage, doors, seats, harnesses, front bumper, lights, and wheels & tires. To go along with these custom accessories, Assault Industries, Whip Tech LED whips, Gator Wraps, and

Don’t get us wrong, we love the idea of having 2 massive subwoofers in the back seat, but this Kicker RZR is more functional with comfortable rear seats, full doors, storage bags, and everything else you would need to enjoy some family time on the trail.
Reikken batteries parts were used to make sure that this build was not only top-notch in the looks department, but also performs well while out on the trail. To go along with the accessories, Kicker installed one of SSV Works’ production-ready stereo kits so that consumers would get an exact idea of what they can buy off the shelf and install in their very own UTV.
Not only does this RZR XP4 Turbo handle the rock crawling that we threw at it like a dream, but it also performs

very well on the wide open terrain. Along with the stereo components, comfort and safety were both areas that took a focus when building this car. The Pro Armor setup is hard to beat because it provides consumers with a “car in a box” option with all of the accessories ready to install. Literally, this Pro-Bilt setup is shipped to the dealer in a box, ready to go. Kicker took advantage of this system and set up their car to include these accessories for everyday functionality.
Conclusion
SSV Works and Kicker are two massive players in the UTV industry, and they have built a couple of the cleanest RZRs in the business. If you see these guys at one of your local shows in the future, be sure to have them crank the tunes for you – you won’t regret it!
