Yokohama Tire Brings Chris Forsberg onto their Formidable Team at the 2023 NORRA 500
The Yokohama NORRA 500 just got more exciting. Yokohama Tire just announced its already-strong NORRA off-road team just got a powerful boost: Chris Forsberg. Forsberg Racing, led by the three-time Formula Drift champion, is ready to slide into the dirt at the NORRA 500 on Yokohama’s rugged GEOLANDAR tires.
Forsberg will compete with Team Yokohama member Leticia Bufoni in a production-class 2023 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X modified with all-new NISMO off-road parts. Skateboard legend Bufoni has been putting in work in short-course this season and will be making her desert racing debut. The Forsberg/Bufoni team will join fellow Team Yokohama members Dave Mason Jr. and Bailey Cole for “good vibes, good times” during the Yokohama NORRA 500.
Over the years, Yokohama has sponsored the winningest NORRA teams, like the 1968 Ford Bronco of Boyd Jaynes and Brian Godfrey named Caballo Del Diablo. Yokohama also sponsors NORRA racers Kristen and Wayne Matlock, and now the Nissan-backed team of Forsberg and Bufoni.
