If you’re in the market for a harness, there’s a short but comprehensive list of things to keep in mind. Safety is of course a priority, however other factors such as ease of use, quality of construction, and general longevity are of prime importance, too. Providing a great deal of safety as well as drivability in harder corners, a harness makes for quite the useful addition to any riding gear kit.
Taking this criteria into consideration, Moose Racing 4-point harness fits this bill and does so at an attractive price. With a relatively simple installation regardless of cage, the harness provides a solid, dependable hold into the seat with easy adjustment. With a durable 2” of thickness on the straps designed to withstand the rigors of riding, and some well-padded shoulder bits for comfortability, it makes for a snug fit while still seemingly right at home in the cabin.
The Moose harness may have a typical appearance for a 4-point harness, however it is offered in several colors to suit your desired appearance, such as red, blue, gray or black as depicted in the picture. In addition, the automotive styled latches and buckles are intuitive to use and allow for quick and easy attachment and detachment.
Perhaps the biggest testament one could give to a harness would be its construction, and the Moose Racing harness holds up well to vibration, wind resistance and exposure to elements. Unlike some other models on the market, the Moose Racing Harness can reasonably be cleaned up. As every seasoned rider knows, harnesses accumulate dirt and grime which can be a challenge to clean off. However, this harness is a breeze to clean due to the materials used.
In our particular application on a RZR 200, a more kid centric model, adding safety with a reliable harness such as the Moose Racing harness can make a huge difference- both for the driver and parent’s comfort levels in the vehicle. In that sense, upgrading safety equipment is a no brainer, especially when it provides quality at a reasonable price.
This all goes to say that you don’t need to spend top dollar to get high quality features and safety out of a harness for your SXS. Having the kind of safety provided by a 4-point harness is nothing to take lightly either. The fact that you can not only get security/safety, but also an attractive appearance makes for a killer package, especially with some relative comfortability as far as harnesses go.
