Battery Jump boxes are a very cost effective insurance policy in this day in age. With hundreds of options it is hard to tell the good from the bad all while finding the best deal. But what they all have in common is they are designed to jump start batteries. A jumper box is something you shouldn’t need on a regular basis but when you need it, it is worth every penny. Rugged Geek has taken the jump box idea three steps further while raising the bar on quality and features, and all in one neat little package. The Rugged Geek RG1000 Safety PLUS Gen2 offers a lithium battery pack that can be connected to an array of accessories that come with the kit. If you plug in the battery jumper leads, the powerful 39Wh battery will jump start up to a 7.0L gas engine or a 3.5L diesel a whopping 20 times on a single charge. And for those late night jump starts when you can’t see, there is no fear of hooking the leads up incorrectly as Rugged Geek has Intelliboost technology. This allows the power to flow only when it is safe to do so. Plus, there is a built in LED flashlight to ensure the leads are hooked correctly.
Not only does the RG1000 Safety PLUS Gen 2 accel as a jump starter but it also has an air compressor adapter that you can plug in. This compact little compressor it does take a little time to inflate a tire but if you are on the side of the road, it is a lifesaver. Add in 2 USB ports and a laptop charge port on the battery pack with adapters and you have a very versatile little unit. The RG1000 is a great addition to any tool bag and is small and light enough that it can be transferred from you tow rig to your UTV.
