Savage UTV Belt Case and Tool Kit

There should be no debate that having a spare drive belt in your UTV is a must. Being the one part of a UTV that’s most prone to failure (unless you’re in a Honda or YXZ), a spare is a cheap insurance policy to make sure you get back to the trailer when the inevitable occurs and that drive belt goes pop. Although drive belts are fairly cheap in the grand scheme of things, they are relatively expensive as a standalone part. You want to be sure to take care of them whether they are in the transmission being used, or just stored away as a spare.
For years, most of us have been storing spare belts under a seat, in a tool bag with sharp objects bouncing around it, or zip tied to the chassis where it’s exposed to the elements and put under stresses that will weaken the belt over time. Then once you find yourself performing a trailside belt change, you are rummaging for the right tools, and trying to clean the new belt to make sure it will last for the miles that lay ahead. The guys at Savage UTV realized this to be a common struggle amongst UTV owners, and designed an all-in-one solution that easily solves all of these issues.
Savage UTV sent us their Savage Case loaded with the Tool Kit to put it to the test, so to start, we quickly and easily mounted it up out of the way on the roll cage of our hard-driven RZR Turbo S Velocity, via the included stainless steel mounting hardware and hose clamps. It can also be bolted to a flat mounting surface, and if you want to be fancy, Assault Industries aluminum cage clamps are also available. The case is very well made with easy to use latches, and a rubber seal that makes the case 100% air tight keeping out all of the dirt, dust, and water that can damage your expensive spare belt. Savage even thought to add a pressure relief knob so when you change altitude, you can still get to your belt and tools without having to pry the case open.
Included in the Tool Kit are most of the tools needed to make a belt change quick and easy, including a ratcheting screwdriver with 8mm and 10mm sockets, plus needle nose pliers and a utility knife to remove the remnants of the poor old obliterated belt. They left space in the foam for you to cut a relief and insert your specific machine’s factory clutch tool, ensuring that you will never have to search for tools again, making belt swaps easy and painless. The spare belt sits nicely in the lid of the case, and if you want to double your belt carrying capacity, you can buy the case without the tool kit enabling it to safely protect two belts.
From the efficient utilization of space to the Kaizen Foam used in these cases, every little detail was clearly thought out by someone who has a lot of miles in a UTV. We will definitely be ordering a few more to equip each of our UTVs with two of these cases, one stocked with tools and a Trinity Racing drive belt, and the other stocked with Savage UTV’s First Aid Kit. With all the necessary items to fix most boo boo’s that may be earned while on the trail, it is a no brainer to be prepared and ready for any situation. Honestly, we hope that we never have to get in to either of these cases, but we know we can ride fast and hard knowing that our supplies are protected and easily accessible when needed!
