Baja Designs Lights the Way with their Brand-New Bright and Colorful LP Series
Baja Designs is proud to introduce the addition to their LP series family with new colored backlights for LP4, LP6, and LP9 Pro lights. The addition of blue, green, or red backlight options alongside the original amber gives enthusiasts the choice to customize their vehicles for shows, photo shoots, or anywhere they want to bring attention.
The Baja Designs LP4 is the smallest variant in the LP lineup but maintains all of the power and features of its siblings with a total of 8,750 lumens and a 200-degree spread of usable LED light. This light pumps out 7,050 forward-projecting lumens and 1,700 lumens of dedicated peripheral lighting of their patented Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT).
This is the off-road lighting solution for those who are big on adventurous spirit but short on space. At just 5.1” high x 5” wide, they’ll fit on almost any vehicle, including Jeeps, trucks, motorcycles, UTVs, and any other vehicle that needs additional lighting. Packed within the waterproof housing, the LP4 is the smallest variant in the LP lineup but maintains all of the power and features of its siblings.
They also offer multiple accessories for the LP4 Pro lights. From rock guards to replacement lenses, security hardware, IPT covers and harnesses, they have the accessories that will make your LP4 perform to its full potential.

The LP6 Pro is a 6-inch powerhouse featuring a total of 11,225 total lumens and of 200-degree spread of usable LED light thanks to the dedicated peripheral lighting of the patented Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT). To keep your light performing at its highest potential, the LP6 integrates their proprietary Direct Ducted Cooling (DDC) technology. This feature allows air to travel through the front of the housing, over the rear heat sinks – drastically improving cooling capacity and performance. With an colored daytime running light, low power, and high-power mode, the LP6 easily fulfills all your lighting needs.
The LP6 Pro is available in multiple patterns to suit your needs. The Driving/Combo pattern provides maximum trail coverage in a single light. The Driving/Combo pattern is equipped with both Driving (42 degrees) and spot (8 degrees) optics to provide you with a smooth blend of light for both near-field applications and distance (Lighting Zones, 1,2, 3). The Spot pattern is a longer and narrower 8-degree beam focus for illumination further down the trail or road (Lighting Zone 4 & 5) and is designed to be used in conjunction with additional wide cornering and/or driving/combo auxiliary lights.

A design that was inspired by Baja Designs’ legendary 8-inch La Paz HID, the LP9 features modern styling and performance, with some of the most advanced LED technologies available today. The LP9 utilizes nine forward projecting LEDs and 6 LEDs for Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT) for a total lumen output of 12,547 at 9A.
The IPT provides an incredible 200-degree spread of usable light and the housing was designed to provide exceptional heat dispersion by using Direct Ducted Cooling, which allows air to travel from the front of the housing to the rear. With a day-time running light, low, and high power mode, the LP9 will fulfill all your lighting needs.

About Baja Designs
For 30 years Baja Designs has engineered revolutionary ways to stay at the forefront of motorcycle and automotive lighting. The first product developed was a Dual Sport kit that made a pure off road motorcycle minimally street legal. This intimate knowledge of motorcycle electrical capabilities led to a natural evolution to engineer the first HID motorcycle race light. Owner/Lead engineer Alan Roach and Product Development Engineer Stephen “Tex” Mitchell were avid Baja 1000 motorcycle racers who were able to fine tune a motorcycle’s limited light optics to maximize rider comfort, speed and safety. As a result, BD lights have won every professional and amateur motorcycle and ATV Baja 1000 class for over 15 years.
As Baja Designs engineers and racers advanced to truck and buggy racing, the next evolution began. The engineers quickly adapted their race winning HID motorcycle lights to their new race vehicles. With amazing speed, BD HID lights were adopted by the vehicle race community and could be found on the majority of Baja 1000 winning vehicles. In the process, BD engineers became well known as “The Scientists of Lighting” and were sought out by professional race teams to develop and aim their vehicle lighting.
LED lights were the next natural evolution of lighting and BD was the first company to develop a forward projecting LED light bar which was introduced and raced in the 2005 Baja 1000. That original LED light bar has evolved into a line of the highest performing and race winning LED lights on the market.
Revolutionizing industry leading lights is not just a job at BD, but a lifelong passion for both the owners and employees. The BD product line is dedicated to being BRIGHTER, BOLDER, and BETTER, which is why they consider themselves “The Scientists of Lighting”.
