Jacob Peter Earns Another WORCS Podium
2019 Round 6 Amateur Race Report
Glen Helen Raceway – Devore, CA (9/17/2019) – Absolute Motorsports’ Jacob Peter scored 2 more podium, bringing home a third in the SXS Youth 250 Production class and a third in the Youth 90cc Stock ATV class during the WORCS racing weekend at Glen Helen Raceway in Devore, CA. The result was Peter’s third podium of the season in his Polaris RZR 170.
“I started in the second row and had to catch up to everybody,” explained Peter. “There were a lot of kids in the class. I had to pass three or four of them in one corner sometimes. The jumps out here are pretty good. The track was difficult but once I figured out the lines the races went well.”
Peter’s RZR is outfitted with Walker Evans Racing shocks and GBC tires. The combination worked flawlessly on the difficult track, especially when combined with the Polaris RZR 170.
“The GBC Tires worked great through the jumps and the rocks,” said Peter. “The Walker Evans shocks allowed me to jump easily and get through the whoops with confidence. The RZR 170 is so nimble and its small size makes it easy to get around other cars.”
The race was the first one back after the two-month summer break. Peter was happy to be back on track and hanging out with his racing friends and his family.
“I was glad to be back racing and to catch up with all of my friends,” said Peter. “I’m looking forward to the next round and we’re looking for another podium.”
Peter will return to the WORCS Series when it visits Honolulu Hills Raceway in Taft, CA October 4-6.
