James O’Neal III – Factory HISUN Motors Corp. #127 Secures Double Podium Finishes – Amateur Race Report – Round 2 Taft, CA

March 1, 2020 – Taft, CA – James O‘Neal #127 just 7 years old, Officially walks away with Double 3rd place Podium Finishes!! in both of his classes. Youth SXS 250 Stock 6-8 & Youth SXS 250 Production, for the 1st time in his young racing career. This marks a Major Accomplishment for James, being that he is a 3rd generation O‘Neal he has to work that much Harder to make a name for himself & he is more than proving himself in just the beginning of his 2nd year Racing Youth SXS.

With Round #1 not going as smooth as he would have wished for in the Stock 6-8 class, he sure came back swinging in Round #2. James started in the 1st row, he was 3rd off the line & held that position for the first 5 laps. He was driving hard, smooth, had very smart line choices, made some solid passes & hunted down that 2nd place spot. He then ran in the 2nd place spot for over half of the race, in a Wicked battle with Trevor Lee & James held strong and never gave up the spot. James‘ good buddy Jackson Mandle of Acton, CA grabbed the holeshot & never looked back setting the Fastest Lap times for the class. Once the transponder #’s were calculated James was bumped to a Official 3rd place Overall & on the Podium for the 1st time of 2020.

250 Production, this being only his 2nd race in his new Modified Carthat made it’s Debut in Primm, NV for Round #1; he managed to pull off his Best Finish yet in the Premier 250 Production class with a Top 5 Overall (5th place). Coming off a top 5 finish he started in the Front Row with nothing but the very Best & kids that were anywhere from 3-6 years older than him; he held his own and was 5th off the line & drove Hard & Smooth throughout. As laps went on, some of the top contenders were breaking & Little James stayed right in it & gained a new nickname “Mr. Consistency” & Secured himself a very Hard Fought 3rd place overall & making it a Double Podium day for his very first time. He was also the only Youth SXS 250 driver to get Double Podium Finishes.

After the first 2 rounds of the 2020 Season completed, Little James (AKA: “Mr. Consistency”) is sitting in a Solid 3rd place – Youth SXS 250 Stock 6-8 (only 4 points behind 2nd) & 2nd place – Youth SXS 250 Production.

This Factory HISUN backed 7 year old definitely did not disappoint with his performance at Honolulu Hills Raceway, showing major Progress with his Speed, Aggressiveness, Confidence & Solid Consistency… James‘ maturity on the track is far beyond his years & Definitely has a Very Big & Bright Future ahead of him in the world of Off-Road Racing.

James‘ plans are to keep Practicing on his Dirt Tracks, cross training at MB2 Raceways with the indoor Electric Go-Karts & working closely with his new Trainer “Shelby Anderson”. Plans to come back even stronger for the Double Header rounds #3 & #4 in Havasu!!
